The quality of scaffold couplers directly affects the safety of scaffold structures. The current implementation standard in China is GB 15831-2016 "Steel tube scaffold couplers" . This standard specifies specific mechanical performance requirements for different types of couplers: right-angle couplers should have no destructive slippage under 15kN anti-slip load, with anti-destructive load not less than 25kN; swivel couplers should have rotation angle not exceeding 5° under 15kN tension, with anti-destructive load not less than 25kN; sleeve couplers should have axial displacement not exceeding 5mm under 30kN tension load, with anti-destructive load not less than 40kN . The tightening torque requirement for coupler bolts is 40-65N·m, maintaining no loosening for 1 minute . Regarding appearance, coupler components should have no cracks, with blowhole diameter not exceeding 3mm, depth not exceeding 2mm, and quantity not exceeding 3 . For materials, couplers should be manufactured from malleable iron with mechanical properties not less than KTH330-08 grade or ZG230-450 cast steel .
