Correct installation of scaffold couplers is an important step in ensuring scaffold stability. Before installation, couplers should be inspected to confirm no rust, deformation, or cracks, with no thread stripping on bolts and no tooth damage on nuts . Steel tube and coupler specifications should match, with standard tube outer diameter of 48.3mm . During coupler installation, bolts should face directions convenient for tightening and inspection . Tightening torque should be controlled within 40-65N·m range, ensuring sufficient fastening force while avoiding excessive tightening that could cause tube deformation or bolt thread damage . At main nodes, transverse horizontal members must be installed and fastened with right-angle couplers, and removal is prohibited . For vertical pole extensions, except for top levels where lap joints may be used, all other connections must use sleeve couplers, with adjacent pole joints arranged in staggered positions . During use, regular inspections should check for loose couplers, with timely retightening .
